I feel like I've improved as an editor since my rights were revoked in July 2024 (due to a long series of impulsive mistakes I made and not checking my work hard enough), and since I last tried to apply in November 2024. I've tried slowing down on the editing, especially with Rater, as Pppery pointed out. Anyway, the main reason why I wanted to reapply for AWB is because cleaning up Category:Pages using infobox Russian inhabited locality with unknown parameters has been rather tedious; I recently found a bunch of unnecessary parameters (most notably, "date") that I believe can be removed more efficiently if I had access to the application. However, I will try to remove parameters (or use AWB in general) as a last resort (like if the params are truly redundant), and instead try to fix them if possible. The main reason why I would like to request the template editor right is so that I may be able to edit protected modules and templates such as Module:Gridiron color/data & Module:College color/data. I would like to contribute better to protected modules and templates, and be able to answer template-protected and module-protected edit requests. I understand completely that possessing the template editor right is a privilege and can be revoked at any time if I fail to abide by the rules and guidelines set forth for having the right granted to me. I also realize that sandboxes (such as Module:Gridiron color/sandbox, for example) exist so that I do not continually make disruptive edits to live modules and templates. Furthermore, I am acutely aware that I should never try to force through changes to protected modules and templates that go against a clearly established consensus. [edit]On Feb. 12, 2005, I did a random pages survey. Out of 100 random pages, only 1 was a U.S. town. That's progress. Three towns in the UK, 1 in Spain and 1 in Portugal also turned up. Overall biographies were the largest category at 22%, followed by geography with 15% total. Then Lists at 7%, Disambiguation pages at 6%.
On Feb. 24, 2006, I repeated the 100 random page survey, this time getting 5 U.S. towns. Overall, geography had 26%, biography 21%, fiction 9%, music 4%, colleges 4%, lists 3% and disambigs 4%. Clearly geography and biography are our largest areas. Music, science and business scored less than I expected. Non-individual History was hardly discernable.
Even by Feb. 2005, 100 out of almost 500,000 was not statistically significant but was as much as I had patience for.
